Nature Photography Class
It is no secret I love nature, so when I heard about an upcoming nature photography class with the amazing photographer Wayne Pope I was quick to sign up. It was great to meet other local photographers and be out in the Franklin Mountains enjoying the desert's beauty. I even got to hold not one, but two Leicas!! My very talented photographer and artist friends (respectively) Niki and Yvianna were also there, so it was just a great workshop all around. Here are some of my shots from the day.

Remy
My friend Beth was in town over the weekend so we got together to have dinner and let her son Hunter and my kids play. I was so happy she called because I haven't seen her in about a year, which means I had not met her 8-month old daughter Remy. Of course I had to tote my camera and get some frames of her darling little girl.
Torreon,Mexico
Just a few shots from my trip down south. I accompanied my mom because one of her relatives passed away. Definitely not a pleasure trip, but I did enjoy the different sights, sounds, and tastes there.
Sunpak tests
Since I have been exploring different options for artificial lighting I picked up a Sunpak LED light to test it out. I was trying out some shots with my daughter's Barbie, when I snagged my sister as a volunteer instead. There was already a lot of ambient light in my mom's kitchen, but the light helped fill in the shadows on the right side of her face.

Madison
It is always great to visit with faraway friends, and this last Friday the kids and I met up with Diana and her lovely daughter Madison at the park. Madison is just a joy to photograph because not only is she just darling with big, blue eyes, but she is also such a happy baby. Nathan helped me once again by standing behind me and making her smile and laugh.
