Weekend

This weekend we had a church service for my dad; it's going to be one year this Wenesday since he passed away. My mom made food, and the family came over. It was a good day, I would say. I got to spend time with my family and watch a movie later in the day. I am really happy, which has been an unusual feeling for me these past few days. I don't know if it's because of my dad's anniversary or other external forces, but I have been a bit on the melancholy side. It is more of a sad contemplation than anything else, but I'm not used to feeling that way anymore. Thankfully, I have found the answers and everything is flowing into place once again.

Saturday was great because I went to Sparks, where we donated a lot of stuff...clothes, appliances, kitchen-ware, etc...to the people. Bonnie gave me his old camera, an old German-model with removable prism and no light meter. I am really excited because using it will help me improve on my photography techniques. Since the prism is removable I can use it for hip shots, and the lack of light meter will help with learning to "see" more carefully. It's not an everyday use camera, but I will sure enjoy seeing how well I can manage with it. :)
