I've been really busy, working both in Las Cruces and El Paso, but on my way home to get ready for the second job there was a truck ablaze on junction 404. Seeing as how we were going to be held up for awhile I jumped out of my car and started snapping some photos. I didn't get close initially because the officer wanted me to stay behind the cruiser. I have worked with DASO before so at first I wanted to be cooperative, but as soon as I saw the Chaparral fire trucks I walked on scene. Anthony fire was first to respond (all two guys manning the truck, one on pumper duty and the other on hose). Chamberino is the mutual responder so as soon as they got there, the Chaparral guys get sent home. It was fun to get some spot news, and it reminded me of old times when I was part of the action. I am more comfortable shooting spot news than I am at meetings and planned affairs...just more at ease on the other side of the yellow tape I suppose.
