Keep Rolling, Rolling

Often used to demonstrate Mendelian genetics, tongue rolling was once said to be a two-allele characteristic, with the ability to roll being dominant, but more recent studies of families and twins have suggested it is not a proper example of Mendel's laws because it is not specifically a genetically heritable trait; factors such as mulitple alleles or even the environment may be in play.
